Did you know that The Detroit Wine Organization has a new benefit?
We now have a travel web site where you can book your travel at rock bottom prices and donate to our organization at the same time.  Check out www.dwotravel.org

The DWO is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, incorporated in 2002. We accomplish our mission by hosting events that are both educational and fun, including the monthly Wine Down Wednesday and annual Detroit Uncorked, as well as by providing resources and professional development opportunities to the local wine industry.

Our ever-growing membership base — currently  6,000 strong — is comprised of people of all ages and from all walks of life, whose wine experience ranges from those with very little experience to others with vast knowledge. What they share is a desire to explore the joys of wine while meeting others with similar interests.

Our charity partners are locally based organizations that our members believe in and support. Our major beneficiaries to date are the Children's Center, the St. Vincent and Sarah Fisher Center, and the Schoolcraft College Culinary Salon Team.

Our sponsors range from local wine distributors and suppliers to major corporations interested in supporting our mission. The DWO Board of Directors is made up of people both from the local wine industry and from other professions who have a belief in the organization's mission and enjoy wine.
